"I was unsure how well training would work in a private setting. Turns out, wonderfully. Holly is great at what she does. She is timely, professional with great methods of teaching. Having her in your personal space allows you to ask about those very specific problems and how to fix them within the space your animal lives. You end up with a great grasp on how training works which allows you to use it anytime a problem arises. I hired Holly twice and the end result is my 1 1/2 year old malamute is able to volunteer with me weekly. I highly recommend Holly."
"Overall experience was fantastic! Holly was prompt and gave several suggestions to address the dog having issues in addition to giving helpful suggestions for the other two dogs. She was great at following up to see how training was progressing. I have and will recommend Howling Peaks!"
"Holly was great with advice in areas we were struggling. Great introductory course for puppies!"
"Working with Holly has been a delightful experience for me and my little dog companion, Stewie. From the moment of first contact, Holly was responsive, prompt and professional. Holly embodies what everyone would like to find in an instructor, patient kindness, ability to effectively communicate with both humans and canines, a thorough knowledge of her field and genuine enthusiasm for her work. We finished our five basic lessons today and Stewie received her Certificate of Completion and we both feel proud of our accomplishment! We have already signed up for additional lessons, which will include learning lots of new tricks toward keeping Stewie's smart brain, active & engaged. We recommend Holly with a full heart and with gratitude!"

"Working with Holly has been such a treat for my whole family. Holly responded to a "wits end" call about my parent's dog Maizy right away. Maizy was out of control. With help from Holly, after working together for a few weeks our dog went from pulling arms out of sockets, barking at every distraction, and being down right unpleasant to walk; to loose leash walking sessions on the sidewalks in downtown Anchorage. Maizy has a long way to go, as do we, to maintain the progress we've made and further that success. Holly helped arm us with the technique and understanding of what works with our dog and why. Holly was quick to identify if certain approaches weren't right for our dog, and to put together a game plan for of a different way to get the behavior we were working towards.
Holly now works with us not only with Maizy, but also with my two other dogs, who exhibit behavior quirks of their own. She has helped me with confidence exercises, dog-to-dog interactions, barking in the car, as well as fundamental dog etiquette skills. All of Holly's training techniques with us involve positive reinforcement and conditioning or reconditioning if required. Using her positive training techniques has facilitated building a healthy relationship between our dogs and us, allowing our dogs to look to us for cues on how to behave. Holly's techniques stretch beyond the lesson of the day. Using her techniques as a foundation anytime I work with my dogs, on any behavior, has made training much more pleasant for everyone involved. Holly has been great to work with, she stays in touch and points me in the right direction when I have questions or concerns even when we are taking a break from training sessions."
"- vast knowledge of dogs and training methods
-connections made with dog and owner were strong and continuous throughout training
-awesome follow up and communication
- an obvious love for her work
-amazing progress made in a short period of time with dog, owner and trainer working together
-no judgement but lots of praise for owners"
"We adopted a black lab mix from the Matsu Animal Shelter. We knew that she would have some issues to work on, and were okay with that. However, her behavior was beyond our training experience. Holly has given us some amazing working tools. She also thoroughly explained body language, behavior reactions, and what can negatively stress our dog. The follow up material has been very useful and easy to follow. It has only been a week and the change has been significant. Her prices are extremely reasonable considering how the changes done will impact a dogs lifetime of happiness."
"Holly is a wonderful trainer - pleasant, keenly observant, and skilled at breaking helpful behavior protocols into easy-to-remember steps. In one training session, I attained immediate and significant improvement in preventing my fearful dog from barking at a guest. Holly taught me the basic concept, so I can practice effectively, instead of flailing around as I was. She gave me and my dog the confidence and optimism that we needed so we can do better, and she made it fun and easy."
"Holly is amazing and has helped us so much with our dog. I would recommend her to anyone. She’s quick to respond, has been very flexible, gives you materials, and sends a follow up. She has so much love for dogs and is super patient."
